Where Opportunity Meets Preparation
The Serve2STEM Job Fair is more than just an event; it’s a milestone moment for the next generation of tech talent.
This invite-only experience is designed specifically for interns from our workforce development ecosystem, bringing together participants from Tech Exchange, Alameda Labor, and Oakstop. These interns have spent weeks building real-world technical skills, and now they’re ready to take the next step: connecting directly with employers.
At the same time, we’re opening the door for employers and partners who are looking to engage with a diverse, trained, and highly motivated talent pipeline.
Why This Talent Pipeline Matters
At Tech Exchange, workforce development is not a side program—it’s core to our mission of closing the digital divide.
Over the past year alone:
43 interns participated in our Serve2STEM workforce program
They completed 12,891 hours of hands-on, on-the-job training
Across all programs, we’ve now trained 500+ interns, many transitioning into permanent roles
These are not entry-level candidates without experience—these are individuals who have:
Worked in real production environments
Troubleshot hardware and software systems
Supported IT operations and digital literacy programs
Built skills aligned with CompTIA A+ and Network+ pathways
This event is where that preparation meets opportunity.
Powered by Partnership:
Alameda Labor Council & Oakstop
This work is only possible through strong, values-aligned partnerships.
Alameda Labor Council
A key force in workforce development across the region, Alameda Labor plays a critical role in connecting young adults to career pathways, supporting equitable access to employment, and strengthening the regional workforce ecosystem.
Oakstop
As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration, Oakstop provides space and support for emerging talent and organizations working to build a more inclusive economy.
Together, these partners help create a pipeline that doesn’t just train talent—but actively connects it to opportunity.
A Model That Works
Tech Exchange’s approach is grounded in impact—and the numbers reflect that:
1,296 digital literacy graduates trained this year
93 cohorts completed and 858 hours of instruction delivered
9,724 devices refurbished and redistributed to expand access
400+ partners across the Bay Area supporting this ecosystem
This isn’t just training, it’s a full-cycle workforce development model that combines:
Technical skill-building
Digital access
Real-world experience
Employer connection
For Interns: What to Expect
This event is your opportunity to:
Meet employers who are actively interested in your skills
Practice professional networking in a supportive environment
Explore pathways into IT, tech support, and beyond
Take the next step toward employment
You’ve already put in the work—this is where it starts to pay off.
For Employers & Partners: Why You Should Get Involved
If your organization is hiring—or planning to—you should be here.
This event offers:
Access to a pre-trained, diverse talent pipeline
Candidates with hands-on technical experience
Opportunities to support equity-driven workforce development
A direct connection to community-rooted talent
Beyond hiring, this is a chance to:
Partner on future workforce initiatives
Support internship and training programs
Engage with a network of 400+ mission-aligned organizations
This is not just recruitment—it’s investment in the future workforce.

Looking Ahead
Workforce development is most effective when it’s collaborative.
At Tech Exchange, we’ve seen what’s possible when training, access, and opportunity align. This event represents that alignment in action—bringing together interns, employers, and partners to build something bigger than any one organization.
Together with Alameda Labor and Oakstop, we’re not just preparing individuals for jobs.
We’re building a more inclusive, skilled, and connected tech workforce for the Bay Area.
