This Giving Tuesday, we have a powerful opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of families across the Bay Area. For Tech Exchange, Giving Tuesday isn’t just a single day of giving—it’s the kickoff to our Connecting Communities End of Year Campaign, a campaign dedicated to expanding digital access, building community, and empowering youth and families through technology.
Why This Campaign Matters
The digital divide is still a reality for thousands of households in our region. Students without a reliable computer struggle to complete homework. Job seekers miss opportunities without internet access. Seniors face barriers to healthcare and social connection. Families are often left behind simply because they don’t have the tools they need to participate in today’s connected world.

Thanks to our supporters, this year alone we have:
Expanded into six Bay Area counties
Launched three TecHub Pop Ups in Contra Costa County, providing free public access to technology and training
Opened our permanent TechHub in the heart of downtown Oakland, a space where communities can learn, connect, and thrive
Trained over 1,500 people in digital literacy
Diverted tons of e-waste from landfills through device refurbishment
Trained 25 youth through our Serve2STEM program, giving them technical skills and real-world experience
Supported new coalitions and partnerships advancing digital equity
