We’re excited to announce that Tech Exchange’s Digital Inclusion Program is now featured on the Contra Costa County website as part of their spotlight on impactful Innovation Fund grantees!
We’re proud to be part of a movement that’s transforming lives in Contra Costa County, thanks to the visionary support of the Innovation Fund, powered by Measure X. Through this investment in community-led solutions, Contra Costa County is fostering a future where opportunity, equity, and innovation go hand in hand. Tech Exchange is honored to be among those highlighted. As we continue to grow our reach, this moment marks an exciting step forward in
sharing our mission of digital equity with even more counties and communities.
Our Digital Inclusion Program
Many residents in the Bay Area continue to face barriers to accessing the technology they need for school, work, and everyday life. Our goal is to remove those barriers by offering sustainable, community-powered solutions, ensuring everyone has the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital era.
During a recent visit to our warehouse, the Contra Costa County team saw firsthand how we prepare laptops for redistribution - every device carefully tested, cleaned, and made ready to empower a new user.
They also visited our Oakland TecHub and learned how our bilingual tech support and free 8-hour digital literacy workshops benefited community members and empowered them to digital freedom.
This recognition highlights our continued efforts to bridge the digital divide by providing low-cost, refurbished devices, multilingual digital skills training, and STEM internship opportunities to communities that need them most.
We’re incredibly grateful to Contra Costa County for uplifting our work and helping us expand our mission. Their feature brings visibility to the importance of digital equity - and to the lives being changed by access to these tools and training.
