A Year of Measurable Impact
We are proud to share Tech Exchange’s 2024–2025 Impact Report, a reflection of a year defined not ju
st by growth, but by real, measurable impact across the Bay Area.
As the digital divide continues to affect thousands of families, our work remains focused on delivering access, opportunity, and long-term support to the communities that need it most.
This year, our impact included:
9,724 devices refurbished and redistributed into communities
15,117 devices received through our reuse and recovery efforts
128,702 lbs of e-waste diverted from landfills
1,296 digital literacy graduates equipped with essential tech skills
858 hours of digital literacy instruction delivered
93 digital skills cohorts completed
1,884 tech support cases resolved for families in need
400+ partners across the Bay Area
100+ community events and activations
43 interns served through workforce development programs
12,891 hours of hands-on workforce training provided
These numbers represent more than outputs, they represent lives changed, barriers removed, and opportunities created.
Expanding Access to Technology and Skills
In 2024–2025, Tech Exchange continued to scale its core digital equity model, ensuring that more families have access to reliable devices, digital skills training, and ongoing technical support.
From first-time computer users to families navigating essential online services, our programs are designed to meet people where they are and provide the tools needed to succeed in today’s digital world.

Building Pathways Through Workforce Development
Workforce development remains a key pillar of our impact.
This year, we supported 43 interns through our programs, delivering over 12,891 hours of hands-on training.
These experiences provide real-world skills, technical knowledge, and career pathways for individuals looking to enter the tech workforce.
With the continued expansion of programs like Serve2STEM, we are building long-term economic mobility while strengthening the talent pipeline within our communities.
Powering Impact Through Partnerships
Our work is made possible through strong collaboration.
With 400+ partners and 100+ community events, Tech Exchange continues to work alongside schools, nonprofits, local governments, and corporate partners to expand access and deepen impact across the region.
These partnerships allow us to scale effectively while staying rooted in community needs.
Sustainability and Responsibility
Digital equity and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
By diverting 128,702 pounds of e-waste, we are not only providing access to technology, but also contributing to a more sustainable future through responsible reuse and refurbishment.
More Than Numbers
Behind every number is a story.
A student gaining access to a computer for the first time. A parent learning how to navigate online services. An intern building a pathway into a tech career.
This is the real impact behind the data.
Looking Ahead
While we are proud of what we’ve accomplished, the need continues to grow.
Tech Exchange remains committed to expanding access, deepening impact, and continuing to innovate in service of the communities we support.
